/settings

Overview

Team Up can be configured individually for each server. A wide variety of things can be set, which is exactly what this command is for and the various setting options, some of which are also in subcommands, are shown and explained below.

Whitelist/Blacklist

The whitelist/blacklist is used to allow or block certain games for use on the server. Either the whitelist or blacklist can be used, but never both at the same time. If a whitelist exists and games are added to the blacklist, the whitelist is emptied; the same applies in the opposite case. The games in the respective lists are set server-wide.

It is possible to configure a whitelist/blacklist for each channel separately. See /channelconfig

Subcommand Overview

As already mentioned in the overview, /settings has various subcommands. These are briefly listed here and explained in more detail in later sections:

/settings

The bot's basic settings can be adjusted in the general command. Here is an illustration of the menu structure.

The various options are only briefly explained here, as most of them should be obvious and do not require a long explanation.

Language

Translator wanted

If you speak a language that the bot does not yet support, but you want to use the bot in this language, you are welcome to support us with a translation. Please contact us in the Support Discord

The language of the server can be configured here. Currently supported:

  • German 🇩🇪
  • English 🇺🇸
  • Spanish 🇪🇸
  • French 🇫🇷

User DMs

The bot sometimes needs to send DMs to users, for example when an LFG party has reached the required number of players and is ready to play. Of course, sometimes a server has several bots that “bombard” users with private messages. Therefore, it can sometimes be helpful to reduce the harassment of users. With this option, you can switch on or off whether the bot also informs users via DM. Either way, the users will be pinged in the corresponding channel.

Set Default Channel for Parties

Initialize Party Category

If an LFG party is full and starts, it may happen that the Creator has made the setting that a Voice Channel is required for the Party or that there is already one and it is being used. In the former case, Team Up must create a Voice Channel. In order to keep the server as organized as possible, Team Up uses a Category Channel in which the Voice Channels are created. The Category Channel is not available by Default when the Bot is added to the Server. This Button is used to create a Category Channel and store it in the Server Configuration. If the Category Channel has been deleted, it can be recreated using this button. The Category Channel can then be moved to the correct Location on the Server and renamed if necessary.
